2.04 Build Utilities:

These are a set of utilities (batch files) that I use to build and package up the zip files above. These save allot of time comapred to manually performing the tasks.

  1. MKZIPS.zip– A hacked version of the distribution batch files that I use to produce the binary zip files above. You still need to manually make the DJGPP packages (DJ*.zip), run mkdist.bat the distrib directory.
  2. dj204_build_batch.zip  This is the batch files that I use to build all of the packages in one go and installs them. This is continuously changeing. the batch

Patch & Diff FAQ:

  1.  Produce patch file
        diff -c oldfile.c newfile.c >filename.dif

  2. Apply patch file
        patch -p 0 < filename.dif

Note before applying the patch file check how it references the files as you need to be in the correct directory to apply the patch file.

Links:

1) If you want to keep up to date with the sources then check out www.wincvs.org for a Windows GUI base CVS program and then read the info on www.delorie.com on how to access the CVS repository. You will need to fill in the gaps. If you get stuck (try for 1 hour) then email me.

2) If you are using Rhide then please go and grab the latest release from either :-

    http://www.rhide.com

        or

    http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=32835&release_id=169089

3) If you want to have sound in a DJGPP app under Win 2K or XP then check out VDMSound at http://www.ece.mcgill.ca/~vromas/vdmsound/

Andrew's current status page:

My personnel current status report is available via this link and it outlines issues that I have been notified of or have found that are on my list to eventually investigate when time permits. If you have some time and want to help out please start investigating any of the issues listed and let me know what you find.

Page and Author details:

This page is maintained mostly by Andrew Cottrell, with the help of Charles Sandmann. This page has evolved from a page that had a barely working DJGPP for Win2K and then 2K/XP and has gradually been morphed into a 2.04 alpha page as we near a more stable and releasable DJGPP 2.04. I can see light at the end of the tunnel now, but what is that noise, it's getting louder the closer I get to the end of the tunnel....

Email 2.04 Help address:

Please ensure that you read the faq and the readme file first. If you do not know what you are doing then ask in the djgpp news group, otherwise join the djggp_workers list using the info above.
